Right Job, Right Career

Posted by Denice in ,

To say that I love music is an understatement. If I will be given a chance to choose a career I’d be happy with even without the money, I will be happy to be in the field of music. Singing or playing the piano either solo or in a band.

My husband is a registered nurse but he is not working in a hospital. He loves the arts, photography, painting and designing stuff.

There are thousands of people who graduated in a certain course but the career path they end up with is not what they exactly prepared for from academic standpoint. Many people waste a lot of money in colleges and universities but they end up in a different field.

That’s why those who will graduate in high school this coming March should think a thousand timed the course they want to take in college. Be sure that you will be happy in the academic path you choose.

But then again, who can guarantee that? So to those who graduated from a degree but not happy with it, there are schools that offer alternatives. Assuming you’re a management fan, there’s such a thing as Project Management certificate. The Project Management curriculum prepares professionals to apply project management principles and lead project teams towards successful project completion.

You can choose different management degree courses you see fit. Project Management Certificates such as Engineering Managers, Construction Managers, Management Analysts, Natural Sciences Managers, Computer and Information Systems Managers are expected to grow in demand. These will be in great need in the future and they offer better and higher compensation.

Evaluate yourself now and choose the right career path for your future.

Natalie Cole is scheduled to have a concert in Manila entitled “An Unforgettable Evening with NATALIE.” Natalie Cole is a singer-songwriter and the person behind ten Grammy Awards. No less than legend jazz pianist and singer Nat King Cole is her father.

Natalie is the voice behind the popular songs like “Inseparable,” "This Will Be” (An Everlasting Love) and “Someone That I Used To Love.” And you thought you could only see her live with a Westgate reservation in Las Vegas. Now she will be here on Manila March 11, 2009 and her concert will be held in Araneta Coliseum.

The light bulbs continue to spark in different concert venues this month o of February. I noticed that lots of concerts exist everywhere in this so-called love month. Hotels, music bars, large venues and coliseums are fully occupied. That’s because and international singers as well as performers are coming here to have concerts.

The list of international singers and performers booked in Manila are getting longer by now. I wish I could have the luxury of time to see one of them.

Elvis Presley Museum?

My husband admires Elvis Priestly even though he was quite far my husband’s genre. My husband was just two years when the King of Rock n’ Roll died in 1977. The music icon’s versatile voice made my husband like him. In his three decades of music from 1953 when he first record his song “My Happiness” and “That’s what When you Heart Aches Begin” which he dedicated and his present to his mother to his last gospel recording music where he sang “How great Thou Art” and won a Grammy award in 1974.

Almost three decades generation of rock n roll, blues, ballads, pop and gospel music and been inducted into four music halls of fame. Until now, he is still the biggest earning dead artist and still the highest earning legend.

My husband still dreams of seeing the fabulous house of Elvis in “The Graceland” and Elvis’ museum in Tennessee. Hopefully we can visit the place and stay in Pigeon Forge Tennessee hotels in the future.

He is also behind the sound tracks of the hit movies like “Karate Kid Part II”, “Princess from the Moon”, “Three Men and a Baby”, “Chances Are” and “Pretty Woman” He also scored five top 40 singles with two of them in the top number once spot on Billboard Top 100 chart. I wonder if the show will feature some promotional products to be given away or sampled during the show? Nevertheless, already his show is worth watching with or without these.

American Idol Grand Winner’s House Foreclosed?

Global crisis has been hitting almost every one of us especially those with strong business ties with United States.

It was reported that the 3rd season of American Idol grand winner Fantasia Barrino’s house in North Carolina which she bought for $1.3 million in 2007 was foreclosed and was auctioned last January 12.

The eight-time Grammy nominated R&B singer’s 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom and 6,232 square foot pond-front mansion will be owned by the highest bidder. This can serve as a lesson to all of us: that the wheel of life can sometimes be up and down. Anyway she could still find a lot of beautiful houses in North Carolina. The agents from Wilmington NC real estate may help.
