Break

Posted by Denice in ,

How I wish we can have another break or a long holiday. We been very busy for the last couple of months that we didn’t even enjoy some of the previous holidays we could have. Hope that we could find time to have at least have a break and relax. I long for our out of town vacation and stay away from home overnight just to have at least a break from the busy and noisy life in the metro. I could not even find time for a relaxation with my friend. Even he didn’t get to use his yoga accessories anymore. Toxic schedule and deadlines in the office really consumed our time..

Invitation

My son was given again an invitation to represent his school in a yearly school competition, but this time he is assigned in music category. Last year, he represented the school in art competition and won a medal in a drawing contest. As parents, we would like to expose our kid in any event like this but training expenses is the main barrier as always. It is not like mapex saturn iv exotic sale. You have to pay for his training fee and also the preparation for this event. We will just pray that Kyle will be blessed in this endeavor.

Conversion Cassette Tapes to CD

Posted by Denice in , ,

We consider ourselves music lovers, and part of the proof is almost a big plastic case of cassette tapes as my collection. However, it is seldom that one can find a stereo or any music player in cassette type format. I invested too much in cassette tapes. Some of these are my personal recordings. Hopefully I can convert these all in a CD format so that I can still keep those memories. Even though my my computer is slow, I hope I can still find a better way to convert it.

Piazza Performers

It has been a while since we last had a chance to watch live performers performing in The Venice Piazza in McKinley Hills. This night was supposed to be a special one because of the three performers which included Rocksteady and Kitche Nadal. It was nice to watch a band performing in an open field at least to avoid the perdomo cigars smoke inside the bars. Sadly, the heavy rain disrupted the performances and the two remaining well-known groups didn’t have the chance to perform until we got home.

Close Family

My husband said he was so grateful he is to belong to a family where this is close family ties. He remembered the time when the whole family would be watching in one black and white TV in their living room and used to be eating together in one big dining table. They just had and then they still could manage keeping only two channels airing during that time, with no remote control to use. During this time, every time you wanted to change channel, you had to stand up and walk near the TV to revolve the channel knob. This is so unlike today. Aside from the living room almost every corner and room in the house seems to have TV with lots of channels. Each member wanted different programs or show and prefers to watch in separate rooms. You can’t even exchange talk to your kids in the dining table because some of them have their bose headphones from musicians friend in their ears.

Aerosmith Philippine Concert

My husband really likes Aerosmith, an American hard rock band which have earned the titles "The Bad Boys from Boston", "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band, and they are also a Grammy Award winner. Its lead singer Steven Tyler used to also wear the hat of a judge in a few seasons of American Idol, and that’s when I started to take notice of him. I am not sure if he’s still wearing ray ban wayfarer. Meanwhile, guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, bassist Tom Hamilton and drummer Joey Kramer will be having their concert this May 8, 2013 at the Mall of Asia Arena. This is the most expensive concert in terms of ticket price and I just wonder if price will be a concern among some fans. But I am sure people will still watch this once in a lifetime concert.

Recordings

We were doing some general cleaning in the house when I have happened to take a glance at my CD collection and previous tapes recording. It was stocked in a big plastic container. When you look at them, it seems to look like a bunch of cd reproduction at disc2day.com because I have personalized the cd covers and cases. I am not sure if those cassette tapes are still working because it has been so many years that I never played them. Hopefully I can transfer them all into cd.
