My husband loves to watch Miami Ink a show on TV featuring a group of tattoo artists in Miami and the people going to their shop to have tattoos. Everybody has their reason why they wanted to have a tattoo. I do not judge those people who are having it although it is against the Bible to make any “markings on the skin”. Make sure to think many times before doing it so that you will not regret it and later would need to find shops that remove tattoo in the future.
There’s a lot of controversy lately which involved one on the country’s popular actress, singer and host Megastar Sharon Cuneta. That started after the launching of her latest endorsement. It’s about the beauty clinic product where she posed for the company billboard. Many allegedly reacted to her picture in the billboard on how she’d burn belly fat fast. Although the actress already had an explanation for this, the actress even reacted in one of the twitter messages of one celebrity also. Although the twitter explained that his comment did not pertain to her.
There are a lot of popular singers who started in a singing contest. Some of them even have a fairy tale life stories where most of them used to live in a province, living a simple life. Some lived in a nipa hut house then tried their luck to be given a chance to be one of the popular singers in the country. This is until they successfully transformed their house bamboo floor to a glass mosaic tile. Most of them also did not get much. After a few months or years of fame, nothing else happened.
In the Philippines, there are lots of international performers almost every month. There are foreign performers having concert here. Although local singers and performers are now complaining but they cannot stop producers from inviting international singers to perform here. Filipinos love imported as what we believe. They’d rather not eat and be oblivious of having lipozene side effects but the truth is they are saving money for the expensive tickets.
A Canadianpop-R&B singer and Youtube sensation Justin Beiber will be having his concert in the Philippines. This young boy is really one of the greatest discoveries from Youtube. Hopefully someone will manage this young boy carefully in all aspects not just in his career but also his life. As we all know too much fame can be harmful. There’s a lot of young and teenage kids who are like him that will spare their savings for their acne treatment just to see him in his concerts and buying Justin CD’s. Hopefully he could study as well.
Lady Gaga made another one of a kind red carpet entrance at the 2011 Grammy Award last Sunday February 13, 2011. The female pop star made it inside a giant plastic egg carried by four guys wearing Latex-clad costume. She bagged six awards including Album of the Year, Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals (for “Telephone” with Beyonce) and Best Dance Recording.
Many are asking how she was ventilated inside and for how many minutes because she only got out during her performance that night. Maybe next time she will have it with air conditioning inside and work with honda generators.
I was really glad if our Asia songbird, singer, actress Regine Velasquez will really use her husband’s surname, even though she really made her name that famous and yet she believed that their wedding does not only end up with those bridal gowns and ceremony. Regine is now using her husband’s surname Alcasid in the latest billboard of her new show in one network.
A lot of concerts are being held almost every day especially during this month of February. These include local and international performers. Some of them are my favorite and it breaks my heart that I’m very busy these days. Conference call, meetings and presentations are on cue most of the time. How I wish I could watch concerts again one of these days.
I was able to watch the movie “Social Network” last weekend. It was based on a true story of a young American student from Harvard University. He was depicted as a computer nerd and the creator the most popular social network Facebook in which he’s still the president and CEO. This website started in his Harvard dorm room way back in 2004. I am not sure if it really started with a Sony VAIO or if it was just one of the sponsors of the movie. Whatever it was, the interesting thing is that in just a span of six years he’s now the world’s number one and youngest billionaire today.
