The whole world but especially Filipinos have waited and watched the first episode of the second season of the hit show “Glee.” This is because Charice Pempengco would be featured in the show. I am among the many Filipinos who feel very proud that there is a Filipina in the cast of this very popular TV musical show. Many reacted that the role given to Charice was that of an exchange student from the Philippines. It fits her well since she could not really be given the main role. She could not be a socialite carrying Prada handbags but she really has done justice to the role. We hope that this show will bring her to the international stardom but I also hope she still remain humble and keep her feet on the ground.
We were very happy about the turn out of the career of the young boy who won from a reality talent search. I was so sad about the blind item I heard recently. It’s about the mother of a well known singer and actress. If those blind items or accusations are true, then the singer is pitiful. Allegedly, this singer who is already old enough to decide for her self is still highly controlled by her mother. I even admired the way she raised her daughter because as we all know this singer has grown to become a decent lady. But the way her mother has become a stage mother is what’s bothering me. The way she deals with her daughter in terms of money matters. Reporters and showbiz writers consider this as an open secret.
So to those stage mothers out there, just be contented to give advice like how to get rid of blackheads and how your son and daughter should look good. But don’t get involved in the management of their or career. Who knows you might be the reason for the downfall of his or her career.
It’s sad to hear about how some singers over- use their throat as they would sing almost every night until dawn. Yet on the following day, they would even manage to guest in some shows. We all know that rest is the only way to relax your voice box. Last Saturday, we passed by an area where there was a road accident. A boy was hit by a van and was just covered by newspaper while those who surround him waited for an emergency rescue or response team.
It’s a pity that it was just near the entrance of a military compound and there was a military hospital inside that compound. I wonder there is still no emergency personnel seen in the area. I also wonder because that road was jam-packed by traffic so why was the boy hit that hard?

I was really excited when I saw the billboard advertisement along McKinley Road that Basil Valdez will be performing at the Piazza in McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio. I like the singer and his popular songs that was even used in some movies before. Sadly, I could not be there on that day since we have our religious activity on that day. I will really miss that day. I will only get a copy of his new album. I will only have it passed on a barcode scanner instead of having it during his performance at the Piazza.
I am really amazed of what technology we have right now. I am really glad what convenience it has brought to us. But sometimes technology can also affect your family socialization and bonding time. I remember before during the first TV we have all the family gather in a family room or living room together to watch TV but now every room in the house has TV. So one can watch his favorite show on his own. Before we only used one desk stop computer for the internet. Now we separately browsing the internet through my laptop computer while my husband in his PC.

This even made me think of having a document management system someday to really have the security in keeping important documents. I don’t know how many boxes and garbage bags we threw away. They contained papers that we considered not important anymore and we hope we didn’t miss any thing that is important.
